To position the Shuswap for success as the relaunch phase progresses, targeted marketing campaigns are being developed focusing on specific audiences and opportunities.
Over the past several months, we’ve seen heartwarming examples of Shuswap residents going above and beyond to support local businesses. Let’s keep that local love going and support our community’s small businesses who are the backbone of our region, who can help us reconnect to the places where we live, and discover new ways of exploring our own backyards.
Tourism Attraction — campaigns are being developed to support marketing the relaunch of our tourism industry that can be used in a phased approach as we are able to welcome visitors from different markets back to experience our region.
Event Relaunch and Attraction — work has already begun to secure events in 2021 and beyond to add to the recovery and resiliency of our tourism and hospitality sectors. We are also working with event hosts who have had to postpone their event this year to support their sustainability for future years.
Resident & Investment Attraction — campaigns are being developed to entice new residents, businesses, and investors.

SupportLocalBC.com provides a platform where consumers can show their love for local businesses. When visiting the website, they can select their community/region, browse registered businesses and purchase gift cards in various denominations. There's also an option to purchase direct through the business's online store (if available). The best part? Businesses receive the full value of gift card purchases, with zero fees and limited administration, while increasing their exposure to potential customers!
